UEFA expects EUR 1.3bn in profits from EURO 2012

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) expects a profit from holding the 2012 European Football Championship in Ukraine and Poland in the amount of 1.3 billion euros. This is slightly higher than that of EURO 2008 in Austria and Switzerland, the UKRINFORM-based Information Center "Ukraine-2012" reported citing the UEFA press office.

80% of EURO 2012 tickets already purchased

Eighty percent of tickets for the matches of the EURO 2012 European Football Championship in Ukraine and Poland have already been purchased as of June 17, 2011, Head of Planning, Ticketing and Admission Services at UEFA Pedro Correia has said. "According to our forecasts, the payment will end by the end of July 2011. As of today, 80% of orders have already been purchased. However, all of the ordered tickets are considered sold," Correia said.

Dynamo Kyiv beginning to prepare for new season
